Doug R. Wendt
President and Chief Operating Officer
Douglas R. Wendt joined the senior management team of
Combined Insurance Company of America
in January 2006 with responsibility for revenue and policyholder growth within
the company’s U.S. operations. In October 2006, Mr. Wendt was named president and chief operating officer
with responsibility for all support and administrative business units including
customer management and acquisitions, research and development, insurance
services, actuarial, compliance, information technology, worksite and human
resources.
Before joining Combined, Mr. Wendt spent 36 years with
Allstate Insurance Company where he held numerous management positions in
finance, claims and sales. In 2003, he was named president of the Encompass
Independent Agency Organization, a subsidiary of Allstate.
Mr. Wendt earned his bachelor’s degree in business from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, Calif.
